ELM Hollow form on a waxed base

This piece is extremely interesting. A hollow form turned from Scottish elm with a round bottom. A Neolithic inspired Unstan pattern has been used to decorate around the bottom of the neck. A natural crack has been decorated with pyrography stitches and a bog oak stud at either end. The hollow form sits on a waxed base. This piece would look great in any surrounding and is fun and extremely tactile. Finished with several coats of oil and buffed. 160mm x 170mm∅
