Visit

I have just spent a wonderful week in Derbyshire which was planned around surprising my mum for her 90th birthday. She was expecting my brother and his wife over from their home in Germany, but not for the rest of her extended family turning up. There were a lot of tears (of joy I must add) and a great celebration. Four generations of the family ♥️ altogether. It was magical.

We made and decorated a cake and filled the house with bunting and streamers 😍

I made the most of the week enjoying trips with the family to various places, walking in the stunning Peak District and a bit of shopping.

We visited Chatsworth to see the ‘Burning Man’ statues. An exhibition originally made for a festival in America.

We drank G&Ts on a pub terrace and watched the world go by

We ate out at some amazing places

And we shopped in some of the beautiful old arcades in Leeds.

A very busy fun filled week, but I was glad to return home to Orkney and my boys.
