A Yarn bowl turned from Elm. This was a commission piece and the second yarn bowl Michael has made. Last year he made a double hook oak bowl for a customer in Canada. It worked really well and she is more than happy with it, so when asked to do a single one he agreed. The bowl has a foot style base which is left solid to give the bowl weight and stability. The hook is hand carved and the bowl is finished with several coats of danish oil before buffing. Obviously designed for daily use, but also a beautiful bowl to have with the hook enhanced by the grain of the timber. 120mm high x 200mm diameter
